Ume Films was founded by an award winning film producer Amy Naao Aoyama in 2022. Her mother's maiden name was Umezu. Ume is one of the earliest flowers to bloom in Japan after thriving the cold winter.
In Ume, Aoyama also added the meaning of you and me.
